Security at UVION
A central system, protected across every layer.
UVION brings salon operations and customer records into one central platform. That makes security part of the architecture, not an optional extra. We combine application-level controls with AWS serverless infrastructure, Cloudflare edge protection, encrypted connections, separated environments, and managed backups.
01
Encrypted customer and salon data
Personal data belonging to salons and their customers is encrypted while it is stored and while it travels between supported UVION services. Web and API connections use HTTPS and Transport Layer Security to help prevent interception or tampering in transit.
02
AWS serverless infrastructure
UVION runs in an AWS serverless environment. AWS protects the physical facilities, hardware, networking, and managed cloud infrastructure underneath the platform. AWS serverless services also provide encryption capabilities for service resources and secure TLS endpoints.

Cloudflare security at the edge
Cloudflare sits between public internet traffic and the UVION application. This provides an additional edge layer for SSL/TLS certificate handling, encrypted connections, application-security controls, and automated detection and mitigation of distributed denial-of-service attacks.

Separated environments
Production data is kept separate from development and other operational environments. This separation reduces unnecessary exposure and helps ensure changes can be developed and reviewed without treating live customer information as test data.
05
Backups and recovery
UVION maintains backups across separated storage environments to support recovery if primary data becomes unavailable or is damaged. Backups are part of our resilience approach alongside the managed availability provided by the underlying cloud services.
06
Security is a shared responsibility
AWS and Cloudflare secure the infrastructure and edge services they operate. UVION remains responsible for securing its application, configuration, access permissions, encryption choices, and customer data. Salon teams also play a role by controlling who can access their account and keeping credentials private.
